Choosing Thailand for Trade Shows - No Longer Just a Tourism Hub

The rise of Thailand

Thailand in SE Asia remains one of the most visited tourist places on Earth due to its friendly population, great climate, historical temples and natural beauty sites such as superb beaches. Not to forget the great cuisine and some of the best nightlife on the planet. US companies regularly come to Thailand to penetrate Asian markets.

The country has recovered around 70% of its pre-pandemic tourist numbers of 39 million annually but due to government strategies and initiatives, the country is being promoted greatly these days as a fine location for trade shows and business networking.

Being a travel hub is one thing but 2024 sees Thailand as a business hub where professionals from a myriad of organisations from an SEO agency to a multinational and everything in between may showcase their wares.

Thailand has a stable and growing economy and, along with many other countries in Asia, a still

relatively young population that is tech-savvy. It also has a burgeoning middle class with plenty of disposable income, especially in the main cities and economic areas such as Bangkok, the capital, Phuket, the southern island, the famed eastern seaboard city of Pattaya and Chiang Mai in the north.

Trade Shows

Trade shows in a wide variety of areas but especially tech, automotive, healthcare and well-being and food abound and here are shown some of the principal contacts for companies wishing to break into the SE Asia market or consolidate positions.

Bangkok

The Impact Exhibition and Convention Center is located in Muang Thong Thani in northwestern

Bangkok. One of the best trade show locations in the country with the most footfall.

The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center downtown has been upgraded in recent years and

represents another spacious choice.

Pattaya

PEACH is an easy name to remember and stands for the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall. The Mayor of Pattaya (from an influential political family) is trying to promote the city 125 kms east of Bangkok as a business and trade hub.

Chiang Mai

The Chiang Mai Exhibition and Convention Center operated in what many call the capital of the north 720 kms from Bangkok and easily accessible by air.

Last but not least….Phuket

Phuket - 820 kms south of Bangkok - is home to PICEC - the Phuket International Convention and

Exhibition Center. Phuket is an economic powerhouse in Thailand. In conclusion, wherever you choose to exhibit in Thailand would be a good choice.
